Bioinformatics

Service icon The Bioinformatics group is a dedicated team of bioinformatics analysts with access to an 8,800-node computational cluster. We develop and utilize a variety of automated and semi-automated analysis workflows to fulfill every project's unique needs.

We work closely with Genomics and clients to ensure that all data is analyzed according to a project's specific requirements, both scientific and analytical. After completion, the Bioinformatics team delivers raw and analyzed data as well as analysis summaries. We work to ensure the client understands the data and we meet the project's scientific needs.

Capabilities

Service Applications Description
Automated Analysis pipelines
  • Genome assembly
  • Germline variants
  • Somatic variants
  • Copy number variation
  • Structural variation and genomic rearrangements
  • Cancer immunoinformatics (HLA typing, neoantigen calling)
Standard analysis pipelines are initiated as data comes off the sequencers. Quality control checks and analysis are performed specific to each project. After completion, the Bioinformatics team delivers raw data, analyzed data, and analysis summaries to the client, and assists the client in understanding the data
Customized analysis
  • Variant annotation and functional significance
  • Expression analysis
  • Single cell data
  • Long read data
  • Deep barcoded sequencing analysis
  • Epigenetic sequencing analysis
  • Metagenomics analysis
  • Gene set enrichment and pathway analysis
  • Another application? Just ask!
Customized analysis approaches implementing tools not currently automated. Quality control checks and analysis are performed specific to each project. After completion, the Bioinformatics team delivers raw data, analyzed data, and analysis summaries to the client, and assists the client in understanding the data
Analysis only Projects
  • All applications listed above
  • Another application? Just ask!
Analysis only Projects - on data that that has been generated elsewhere or is available in public repositories. Quality control checks and analysis are performed specific to each project. After completed, the bioinformatics team delivers raw and analyzed data, and analysis summaries to the client and assists the client in understanding the data.
Data Deposition
  • Data transfer and release services
Data Deposition - Submissions to external repositories in support of publication and data sharing.
